Luther Towers located at 430 Kings Highway has 258 one bedroom and 33 efficiency (studio) apartments for a total of 291 apartments in 4 buildings.
Luther Village located at 101 Babb Drive has 145 apartments all one bedroom in 3 buildings.
One bedroom apartments are approximately 540 square feet
Are permitted to have a pet?
Yes, pets are permitted but there are restrictions on size and number. You may have one pet per apartment limited to not more than 15 pounds. The resident is expected to provide care and meet all pet rules as well as city, county and state regulations.

How much is the pet deposit?
Pet deposit is $300 or one month’s rent whichever is less.
How long is the waiting list?
The waiting list varies on the applicant’s income level and choice of building.
Do you have assisted living?
We are not assisted living and do not provide any care services.

We are currently accepting applications.
Can I still own my house and live at Luther Towers or Luther Village.
Yes you may own real estate; however it is counted toward your total income and will have an effect on the amount of rent you pay. Currently, the value of the property would be computed and .0006% of the value would be added to your total annual income in computing your portion of the rent. Luther Towers or Luther Village must be your only residence and you must reside in the apartment for at least 181 days per year.
Do you have storage units?
No, currently no storage space is available for residents.
Is transportation provided for banking, shopping and doctor’s appointments?
Luther Towers has bus transportation 2 days each week for shopping and banking. Luther Village has bus transportation one day per week. Medical transportation is provided 3 days each week with a maximum of 21 residents each day for appointments in the local area.
Are you permitted to have visitors?
Visitors are permitted and may stay overnight, however the maximum occupancy of a one bedroom apartment is 4 total and 2 for an efficiency. This is based on two persons per room not counting the kitchen, bath or closets. Overnight guests are limited to maximum of 14 days in a 6 month period. The days may or may not be consecutive.
How much is the security deposit?
The security deposit is one month’s rent payable at lease signing. Checks or money orders are acceptable. However rent will be paid by direct withdrawal from the residents account at their banking facility.
How much is the rent?
The resident’s portion of the rent is 30% of the total income adjusted for allowable medical expenses.
Do you have security?
Luther Towers has a receptionist/security person on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week including holidays. Cameras monitor the property and buildings.
Are there any special circumstances that would allow someone to move in sooner, i.e. homeless, sick etc.?
The wait list procedures and restrictions are followed pursuant to US Housing and Urban Development regulations. In some cases, income and occupancy requirements of the buildings may necessitate changes.
Am I permitted to have a vehicle?
Yes you may have a vehicle and parking is free for the first vehicle. There is a monthly fee for parking more than one vehicle on Luther Towers or Luther Village property. The vehicle must be in good mechanical condition, licensed and insurance in accordance with state law.
Does Luther Village or Luther Towers provide meal service?
No, we do not provide food service. Luther Towers I however does contract with The Modern Maturity Center to provide a lunch meal for a fee. The restaurant is not open on Saturday, Sunday or holidays. Meals on Wheels delivers a lunch meal to qualified residents when the restaurant is open.
